A little Smackie goes Smack on your taste buds!
Smackie was a small monkey from the Bongaloo region of Southern France. Though monkeys seldom lived in this area, Smackie was drawn in by the premium grapes that grew in the region, as he had a particular fondness for the fermented pinot noir grape. On one occasion, Smackie was found doing backstroke in a large grape fermenting barrel, both enjoying the health benefits of aerobic exercise as well as the relaxing properties of the fermented grapes. Once the vineyard owner asked Smackie to leave, the somewhat inebriated Smackie stumbled from the barrel in a huff. Grabbing handfuls of grapes as he exited the vineyard, Smackie surveyed the lands before him, searching out a new vineyard with which to plunder.
