These single origin Certified Organic Raw Cacao Nibs are from the finest Criollo heirloom variety cacao beans. The indigenous Peruvian growers use a traditional method of cultivation by planting the cacao trees and other fruit plants under the natural rainforest canopy. The pods are then harvested and cracked open, before the beans are removed and fermented, at a low temperature not exceeding 45oC.
These Organic Cacao Nibs are free from preservative and artificial additives, and are non-GMO. Organic cacao nibs have a rich, brown colour, a crunchy texture and a decadent full-bodied, tangy chocolate flavour and aroma.
