BEEF BONE BROTH 100g

Immune Joint Gut Health – Ready in seconds!

Bone broth has been made for hundreds of years by our grandparents and their grandparents due to its traditional gut and immune health properties. Beef Bone Broth is made up almost entirely of protein which is necessary for tissue building and repair throughout the body. The amino acids present are in a specific ratio that is unique, and otherwise not available in the lean cuts of meat commonly consumed, but which are beneficial to us. Beef Bone Broth also contains the added benefit of Vitamin B12 to support immunity. Leading busy lives can make it hard to find time to make bone broth from scratch. Our Beef Bone Broth powder is ready in seconds, as tasty and nutritious as homemade and easy to take on the go!

HOW IS BONE BROTH MADE?

Roasted beef bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar (to maximise mineral extraction) then slow cooked for 48 hours. The broth is then strained for impurities and the fat is skimmed off of the top. It is gently refractance dried into a powder, taking care to preserve the nutritional profile.

Why we added Nutritional Yeast to our Beef Bone Broth and what are the benefits?

Despite it’s name, nutritional yeast may just be one of the most important additions to your food plan in terms of health and taste. Savoury Nutritional Flakes or ‘yeast flakes’ should not be confused with traditional baking yeast as they contain no alcohol and won’t cause or exacerbate candida or leaven baked goods. Savoury Nutritional Flakes are made from a single-celled organism fungi called Saccharomyces Cerevisiae grown on GMO free molasses. They are harvested, washed and dried with heat to ‘deactivate’ them and then rolled to form flakes.

Savoury nutritional flakes or nutritional yeast as they are sometimes referred to are packed with nutrition, high in B Vitamins, Zinc and other trace minerals and one of only a few sources of Vitamin B12 that are Vegan-friendly. They are a complete bioavailable source of protein and a natural fibre source. Nutritional Yeast is gluten, dairy and soy free.

Folate Vs Folic Acid: Folate is also known as Vitamin B9 and is naturally occurring in foods. Folic Acid is the synthetic version of folate, found added to foods and has also been known to be labelled as ‘fortified’ foods.

Folic Acid is a widely accepted term to describe this Vitamin and so is Folate so it can be very confusing.

Bone Broth Collagen Protein Powder 100g choose your flavour

What’s so good about it? Bone broth has been made for hundreds of years by our grandparents and their grandparents. Bone broth is high in protein and rich in minerals that can support immunity and adrenals, plus contains healing compounds such as collagen, glutamine, that can help with joint health as well as improving digestive health and reducing inflammation. Turmeric, a powerful anti-inflammatory herb is added to this blend for its antioxidant compounds.

Did you know? Black pepper has been included in this blend for a reason more important than flavour! Curcumin, the active ingredient in tumeric is not very bio-available, which means althought it is present, it is hard for your body to naturally absorb. The peperine, in black pepper makes the cucumin over 2000 times more bio-available!

How is it made? Chicken bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar – to assist in the extraction of the minerals and boiled down to form a broth. Himalayan salt is added for the final stage of the broth, for flavour and nutrition. The broth is then strained for impurities and as it cools the fat is skimmed off the top. The broth goes through a gentle refractatant drying process taking care to preserve the rich nutritional profile.

How do I use it? Make nourishing broth in seconds! Simply add 1 teaspoons to 250ml of boiling water for a hearty cup of goodness. Use as a base for soups, stews, a base for soups, sauces and gravies for nutrition and taste. Make a broth bowl by adding 3 teaspoons to 250ml of water per person. Bring to the boil and add a selection of veggies, protein and noodles. Serve hot.

Nutritional Yeast: Nutritional yeast is deactivated yeast, which is a member of the fungi family. Being a rich source B-complex vitamins, vegan and fodmap friendly, gluten free and over 50% protein by weight.
